Hot Banana, also known as 'Hungarian Wax' pepper, is an early and productive variety bearing medium sized, waxy yellow peppers up to 6-8" long with medium-thick walls that are bright yellow turning to red. Pepper pungency is about 10 times greater after drying. Peppers grown under stress and/or high heat and humidity will be hotter than hot peppers grown under moderate climatic conditions. Flavor is quite good when eaten in its ripe yellow state. The Hot Banana is mildly hot in taste.
