An early and heavy flowering habit.The fall color is dependably red or red-purple, but the lower leaf surface still retains a silvery hue for a bicolor effect. A very graceful tree that fits in perfectly to landscapes of the South. Prefers well-drained soils - does not like wet feet! Will tolerate full sun, but most happy in shaded or woodland areas.
