White Pampas Grass Feeding Instructions
Instructions regarding the feeding of ornamental grasses are really very simple - don't do it. Unlike lawn grasses, most ornamental grasses (excluding Miscanthus grasses) prefer to be left alone. They will be sturdier without the addition of commercial fertilizers. If fertilized, tall-growing ornamental grasses will stretch from rapid growth and therefore become weak and unable to hold themselves up, becoming floppy. Look at it this way, ornamental grasses are low-maintenance plants you won't ever have to remember to feed!
White Pampas Grass Pruning Instructions
If your Pampas Grass goes completely dormant, or becomes ugly looking during Winter, cut back foliage to 10" or so above ground in early Spring to facilitate emergence of new leaf blades. Allow foliage and flowers of Pampas Grass to persist through the Winter as they add Winter appeal in the landscape. The foliage of Pampas Grass is sharp and may cut skin and catch clothing, so use gloves and some protective clothing when cleaning up and caring for.
White Pampas Grass Pest Instructions
