Once in a while there's a plant that makes a big impact in the gardening world, captivating the attention of gardeners everywhere. In recent years, the purple leaf Loropetalum shrubs and trees are a prime example of such a plant...
Meyer Zoysia. known as the "Cadillac of Grasses", is a creeping, slow growing, warm season turf that with proper maintenance is rich green in color. Meyer Zoysia forms a dense turf that limits weed encroachment while performing well in full sun to partial afternoon shade. The overall appearance and adaptability of Meyers makes it an excellent choice for residential, commercial, and golf course applications.
Though Meyers Zoysia grass will tolerate light shade, we've found it does not perform well around the root systems of large shade trees unless regularly irrigated during the warm season.
Meyers Zoysia is available in sod-form only.
