Common Shade Coleus features striking foliage in an assortment of colors including burgundy, lime green, red, yellow and others. Foliage remains attractive from Spring to frost so long as the flower buds are removed before they have a chance to flower. Do not allow this common coleus to flower as it will cause the plants growth to decline. Easy to grow in partial shade to shade. Useful in container combinations or annual beds. Usually mixed with other shade-loving plants in containers, annual beds or as a seasonal accent in the perennial garden. Grows best in shade to partial shade, or morning sun with afternoon shade. Prefers well drained soil with average moisture.
